WELLNESS HIKE BY THE SEA — Torre Flavia Marsh Natural Monument
Discover 48 hectares of coastal wetlands between Cerveteri and Ladispoli: sandy dunes, coastal lakes, migratory birds and a rare coastal landscape — a peaceful 8 km hike close to Rome.
Highlights:

- Walk through dunes, beach and coastal marshes
- Spot migratory bird species and abundant wildlife
- Start in Marina di Cerveteri, finish in Ladispoli (train back to Rome)
- Less than 1 hour from Rome and easily reachable by train
Duration & level:

- ≈ 3.5 hours (excluding briefing, explanations and rest breaks)
- Distance: ~8 km, 20 m elevation gain
- Difficulty: Easy (some sections may be underwater at high tide — waterproof footwear required)
- Meeting time: 15 minutes before departure in Marina di Cerveteri
- Language: English

What to bring:

- Obligatory: hiking shoes (waterproof), 1.5 L water, layered clothing

Join us for a scenic 14 km forest hike exploring hidden waterfalls and ancient Etruscan tombs near Cerveteri. A great choice for hikers, expats, and curious travelers looking for a unique outdoor experience just outside Rome.

🚗 Transport
A car is required to reach the starting point. We will help coordinate carpooling — please mention in your RSVP if you need a ride or can offer seats.

• No bikes, no littering, no smoking on the route
• Expect uneven terrain and river crossings — good balance and proper footwear are essential
• The guide may adjust the route or duration depending on conditions (weather, trail safety, etc.)
• This is a professionally guided activity in compliance with Italian law (AIGAE certified)
• The fee includes guiding only (transport, food, and entrances not included)
