Wild Abruzzo — Hike to Tagliacozzo Castle & “Little Switzerland”
Join this scenic guided hike in the mountains of Abruzzo and discover the landscapes around the charming medieval town of Tagliacozzo. Following historic mule trails (Sentiero dei Muli), we will walk along rivers, small waterfalls and a narrow canyon before climbing to the atmospheric ruins of the Castle of Tagliacozzo. The route continues through an area locally known as “Little Switzerland,” offering beautiful views over the surrounding mountains.
This experience is guided in English by a professional nature guide and is a great day trip from Rome.

- This activity is conducted in accordance with EU regulations and Italian law n. 4/2003. The guide is registered with the Italian Association of Interpretive Nature Guides (AIGAE).
- Suitable for participants with moderate fitness. Uneven terrain and stream crossings mean the hike may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
