Details

The forest should be coming alive at this point. Green shoots, young ferns, and if we're lucky we'll see Jack in the Pulpits plus lots of fungi. We can create some dreamy fantasy worlds using macro techniques.

Description from AllTrails.com:
*"Experience this 2.2-mile loop trail near Richmond, Virginia. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 50 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Larus Park is 106 acres of wooded solitude bounded by Huguenot Road, Chippenham Parkway and Stony Point Fashion Park. There’s a network of singletrack trails in Larus park. A biker or runner could probably get in 3-4 miles here, but would have to backtrack in places to see all the trail. The park is an urban explorer’s dream, there are many social trails off the main paths that are not marked and closely border private property. Please stay on the main marked trails."

Well-behaved dogs welcome.

Possibly lunch after at Frank's Ristorante & Pizzeria if there's interest.
