Canal Walk for Urban Photography

Join us to do some Urban Photography on the Canal Walk in Richmond.

This is a great opportunity to capture images of graffiti, tunnels, stairs, reflections, bridges, and maybe some trains. Many of the subjects translate well to striking black-and-white photos. All the things that make urban photography interesting. The meetup is scheduled for 4:00 PM to catch the sun as it lowers and gives us great shadows and angles. As planned the trek will be a total of 2 miles - mostly flat, but plenty of stairs.

Meet at the parking lot at the intersection of 14th Street (near Mayo bridge) and Dock Street. From there we will walk down the canal to Tredegar and back. If you don't want to stop there, you can continue to the Virginia War Memorial or walk along the Potterfield pedestrian bridge to the other side of the river.
