Penny Hill Cutoff Trail, Shelter Loop Hike via Frosty Hollow Rd.

Join me on a 6.5-mile hike. Our hiking buddy Tariq is tansfering to his next duty station in sunny Florida . 🌴. A hail & farewell is a going way get together for navy shipmates when they transfer . He is active duty Navy and been an avid partiicpant in this group. So this is his last hike in Rhode Island . Please come out and hike with us.
The pace is moderate as the conditions allow. Not sure what theyll be next Sunday .

Please don’t sign up if you cannot maintain this pace. No dogs. Hike is not being limited to a definite number. I hope all the regulars will be there.

I’d like to go to Dan’s Place afterwards for lunch .

Take 165 to Frosty Hollow Rd. We'll meet at the Frosty Hollow Pond Fishing Area parking lot which is 3/4 of a mile down the road. We will hike along the Shelter Trail and Breakheart trail for a loop of 6.5 miles.

Blaze Orange - IS REQUIRED

Sufficient drinking water, snacks, and proper hiking attire are required. Not sure if spikes or bareboots. Hopeful it’s broken out by Sunday 3/1/26.
