Hike at Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge & Harrington Preserve South

This will be a moderately paced hike of 3 separate trail loops within both, Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge in Exeter & Harrington Preserve South in West Greenwich. Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge is managed by the Audubon Society and contains 937 acres of fields, diverse forest habitats, pond, streams, and a historic cemetery. Harrington Preserve South is a newly established public preserve managed by the Nature Conservancy containing 112 acres and is located just north of the Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge. The woodland trails at both places are fairly easy to hike with a few small inclines, however, there will be a couple of short sections of the hike that will not be on the trails, but will be relatively easy to manage.

Distance: 7 miles, more or less
Elevation Gain: 450 ft
Duration: Approx. 3 hours
Blaze Orange clothing is not required
Hiking attire is required.
Hiking boots are strongly recommended.
Trekking poles are recommended for those who use them.
As always, bring sufficient water and snacks along for the hike.
Tick repellent is also recommended.
