Marshall Gulch-Aspen Loop (Advanced beginner)

Details
Carpooling info: We will meet at the McDonald's at Tanque Verde and Catalina Hwy for carpooling. We will depart at 6am and rendezvous at the Marshall Gulch picnic area and trail head at 7am.
TURTLE ALERT! This is going to be a slow paced hike.
The Marshall Gluch-Aspen Trail loop is the most popular hike on Mt Lemmon for a good reason. It goes through a gorgeous montane riparian area and some lovely aspen groves. We will go up the Aspen Trail, take a snack break at the Marshall Saddle and then head back down the Marshall Gulch trail.
Round trip the hike is 3.6 miles with a total elevation gain of 850 ft. This is an advanced beginner hike. If you haven't hiked before or exercise regularly you may find this hike challenging.
Please bring at least 2L of water, use sun protection and wear hiking boots. If you wear sneakers on this hike you will regret it! Also suggested is a snack/lunch at the halfway point and use hiking poles.
Dogs, firearms, and tobacco/vape products are not allowed. Please don't wear products with fragrances or perfumes including sunscreen. My husband (the turtle) is sensitive to fragrances.
By RSVPing "Yes" to this event you agree to not hold the Event Host/Organizer liable for any injury, death or personal property damage or loss both during the event or in transit to and from the event.
