Catalinas: Incinerator Ridge trail to Mt. Bigelow (Intermediate)

CARPOOLING INFO: We will be meeting at the McDonald's at Tanque Verde Rd and Catalina Hwy for carpooling. We will be leaving the carpooling point at 6:20am and meeting at the San Pedro Vista at 7am.

TURTLE ALERT!

The Incinerator Ridge trail starts at the San Pedro Vista point on the Mt. Lemmon Highway and goes up along Incinerator Ridge all the way to the top of Mt. Bigelow. The trail is a bit steep and rocky . But it has spectacular views almost the entire way up. This is an out and back hike. Round trip distance is about 5.5 mi, total elevation gain is about 1,200 ft.

There is an $8 cash only day use fee for the Catalina Mountains. If you have a Coronado Pass please bring it!

This is not a beginner hike. As always, I highly recommend bringing hiking poles for this trail. Large sections of this trail are exposed.

There are no bathrooms at the trailhead, plan accordingly.

Please bring at least 2L of water for this hike. I recommend bringing a snack/lunch and using sun protection. Please wear proper hiking footwear, you will regret hiking in sneakers!

Dogs, firearms and tobacco/vape products are not allowed. Plase do not use any products with fragrances including sunscreen and bug spray.
