Sunset-Marshall Gulch Trail (easy intermediate)

Carpooling: we will meet at McDonalds at Tanque Verde and Catalinana hwy. We will depart at 8am and meetup at the Sunset trail head at 9 am. There are no restrooms at the trail head, plan accordingly.

Time for one last sojourn into the pine trees before winter comes. We will start at Sunsett trail and go up till we reach the Marshall Gulch picnic area then go up Marshall Gulchch trail till we reach the saddle. There we willl take a snack break before heading back down the way we came up.

Round trip the hike is 5.6 miles with an accumulated elevation gain of 875 ft. This is not a beginner hike and some less experienced people may find this hike challenging.

Please bring my at least 2L of water, wear appropriate hiking footwear andd use sun protection. I recommend singing hiking poles.

Dogs, firearms andd tobacco/vape products are not allowed. Playing music on speakers isn’t allowed. Please don’t wear products with fragrances including sunscreen and bug spray with fragrances. My husband is sensitive to them.
