AZT to La Selvilla Picnic Area: Colossal Cave Mountain Park

Hike a portion of the Arizona Trail from Agua Verde TH to La Selvilla Trailhead and Picnic Area. We pass through a side canyon with some healthy Saguaros, then take the trail above La Posta Quemada Canyon. ~5.5 miles total, ~275’ elevation gain. I hike at a slow to moderate pace. We’ll take a break at the picnic tables. Friendly dogs are allowed. Meet and Park in the Cowboy Statue Parking Lot.

We are NOT meeting at the Caves. We are meeting at the Posta Quemada Ranch, in the Cowboy Statue Parking lot!
There are restrooms here.
After party on the porch up at The Colossal Caves. Maybe we can spot the Coatimundis! Wonderful view. Have an iced tea or adult beverage or a Prickly Pear soft serve on the patio. They have a new menu, pizza and stuff. I like to peruse the gift shop. Fun stuff for Xmas gifts and wonderful Turquoise.
