Corbridge to Swallowship Gorge 8 miles medium grade

Meet in the car park at the south end of the bridge at Corbridge for a prompt 10.30 start. The walk takes us past the station, along Ladycutters Lane to Dilston then through woods to Swallowship Gorge where we will stop for our packed lunch. We return to Corbridge via Duke's House.
The route takes us through fields and forest, on tracks and tarmac road. It is a mixture of flat and undulating terrain with some short steep climbs, often uneven surfaces and muddy in wet weather.
You must be HILL FIT for this walk, equipped for the conditions and have enough food and drink for a day's walking.
