Details

A lovely 10 mile circular walk through the industrial landscape of the Derwent Valley. The route follows the Derwent Walk and Red Kite Trail with stretches of woodland and open fields. The route can be muddy in places, particularly after rain, and there are a few steep ascents and descents.
At the end of the walk, there is an option to visit the remains of Hollinside Manor(a fortified medieval house) which which will add a mile to the route but is well worth it.
As per the groups rules, you are responsible for your own safety and welfare. Please bring a packed lunch and wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Dogs are welcome as long as they bring their owners!
Toilet facilities are available at the visitor centre. The venue can be accessed via public transport. Car parking is free.

Please note that the cafe only accepts card payments.
