What we’re about
I want this group to be about doing some hiking, taking walks around town, and then afterward have a place to gather and get drinks. The theme will be to walk for about 1.5 hours and then have drinks afterward. I plan on having hikes around various places like the greenbelt and other random sites. This group is not for hardcore hikers, but for people who want to walk a bit and meet new people. I typically schedule about 6 to 7 events a month and sometimes more.
This group does cost me money to run. So donations are always welcome. If you are interested in being an event organizer let me know.

Let's hike Brushy Creek Park Trail and walk for 1.75 hours for a total of 4.5 miles. This trail is paved so you don't need any hiking boots, but be sure to bring two or more liters of water. Well behaved dogs are welcome on the trail.

We will meet at the pavilion in the parking lot and I will attach a picture.
NOTE: In the event of bad weather, I will issue a cancellation notice at least one hour prior to the event's start time.
Please note meetup has had a massive increase in price and has nearly doubled the fee to organize clubs. If you like the club and want to donate you can pay Kevin by Venmo here.
Finally, we recommend that you review information on the trail and that you come prepared for the hike (e.g., bring at least two liters of water, wear appropriate footwear such as hiking boots, and a brimmed hat.) All attendees are solely responsible for their own health and safety.
By RSVPing for this event, you are agreeing that you are taking sole responsibility for your own health and safety and, if any, your guests' health and safety. If you or your guests are not willing or are unable to take responsibility for your own health and safety, do not RSVP for this event.

- Small town shoot Dripping SpringsPig Pen BBQ, Dripping Springs, TX
Let's have a small town shoot and photograph the historical part of Dripping Springs. No photography skills are required - everyone’s welcome! Here is some more info per the web.
"Taking a step back in time," is a common phrase you will hear as you stroll down Mercer Street or Old Fitzhugh Road in downtown Dripping Springs, enjoying the architecture of buildings, many of which were built between 1870 and 1940, but are the current location for several thriving businesses.
Mercer Street was home to some of the first businesses in Dripping Springs and many of the storefronts have remained unchanged for decades. Downtown, you will find unique and eclectic storefronts and businesses full of energy, entertainment and accessibility for folks of all ages.
Whether it's shopping at one of the quaint boutiques, grabbing a beer at the well-known "Barber Shop," or treating your ears to some fantastic live music, there is something for everyone in downtown Dripping Springs.
Also, located downtown is the actual "dripping springs", the landmark which gave Dripping Springs the town, its name. Located on the west end of Mercer Street, this specific area consists of lush, fern-covered limestone ledges which consistently drip water into a small stream.
Originally, it was a gathering place for the native Americans that roamed this part of the Hill Country and a source of water for the first Anglo settlers. This area of Dripping Springs is located at the west end of Mercer Street near The Homestead and is delineated by a granite marker. Folks can get a glimpse of the springs by parking at the Visitors Bureaus parking lot, locating the FedEx mailbox and following the limestone stairs down to the creek.
We will meet at Pig Pen BBQ and then shoot for about 45 minutes and then meet back at Pig Pen BBQ and eat.
