Hike #5 in the 2024 Saturdays in the Santa Monica Mountains series is to Eagle Rock (1957'), a moderate 9-miles, 1800' gain outing up Santa Ynez Canyon and the Musch Trail to brunch at Eagle Rock before returning to our start.

Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude. Rain, excessive heat, or Red Flag alert cancels.

Meet at 8:00 AM at the Santa Ynez Canyon trailhead (PCH north ½ mile on Sunset Boulevard, left 2½ miles on Palisades Drive, left on Vereda de la Montura to the gate).

In going on a Sierra Club outing you are potentially on a trip with individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing. The leader can not reveal the status or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. If someone is experiencing any COVID symptoms or is sick, they should not attend the outing. The participant is responsible for contacting the leader to report a positive COVID test.
