Borges Ranch Twin Ponds Loop in Walnut Creek Open Space

How about a hike to work off some of that Thanksgiving dinner!

This moderate hike is a 4 mile loop with 786 ft elevation gain and excellent views of Mount Diablo and the surrounding hills.

Let's meet up at the Borges Ranch Hanna Grove parking lot (1035 Castle Rock Rd., Walnut Creek) at 9:00 am. This is the lower lot on the right before you reach the ranch.

You could also meet me at 8:15 am at the Walnut Creek Friends Church back parking lot for carpooling at 1950 First Ave. in Walnut Creek.

Be sure to bring sturdy shoes, water to drink, a snack to eat, layers to wear and an attitude for making friends.

Dogs are allowed.

Also be prepared for mud with an extra pair of shoes and plastic bags in the car for the ride home.
