Coontree loop trail, Pisgah Natl Forest

Details
**posting on fairly short notice i know
depending on who comes, this can either be a 4 mile loop (per below description) or a ~7.25/1900 loop, adding an upper section of Bennett Gap and Perry Gap trails, ascending up the other side of Bennett to the final descent of the Coontree loop
Coontree loop is approximately 3.7 miles (closer to 4 from the parking area) with approximately 1100 feet of elevation gain (within the first two miles). it's more of a forest immersion hike, no spectacular views, and with multiple stream crossings. i would also call it more of a "rough hewn" trail, some areas with roots and uneven/slippery footing, so gear up accordingly!
be reasonably sure of your ability, as it is a moderately difficult hike
Meet at the Coontree picnic area parking lot (across the road from the trailhead), which is about 5+ miles inside Pisgah on US 276, via the Brevard entrance from US 64, at 9:45 a.m. Anticipate about 2 hours duration, depending on pace. Bring water and a snack.
