The Pinnacles Hike (Overnight) and BBQ

Details
Lets head to the Pinnacles on Saturday 30th March. The plan is to hike up to the hut on the Saturday and watch the sunset from the pinnacles. Stay overnight at the hut and watch the sunrise from the pinnacles the next morning and hike back down. The BBQ at the hut is out of action but I am hoping it is fixed by the time we head there.
Since we are doing this over two days it is less strenuous compared to attempting it in one day but there is a lot of uphill, rocks and steps. We will not be rushing and we will go as slow as needed and enjoy the hike but those who want to move ahead faster can do so if they wish.
You will need to be prepared to stay in the hut or camp. It is only one night so sometimes if you want to enjoy such sunrises and sunsets you need to put in a little effort. Trust me it will be worth it.
Once we get a group sorted I will setup a whatsapp chat to discuss details for the hike.

Getting there:
From SH25 at the southern entrance to Thames, turn right into Banks Street beside the service station. Banks Street veers right into Parawai Road, which then becomes Kauaeranga Valley Road.
Follow this for 13 km to the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre. The road continues unsealed a further 9 km to the road end. This is where the track starts.
