Historic Bristol Beach Stomp

Details
2-3.5 hour walk, brisk pace, on waterfront through historic Bristol and back via canal path. (2 hours) Then we head over to Maple Beach Park for a short walk on the levee at the rivers edge. If the path is walkable we will walk on the beach. This is a figure 8 hike, two loop hike.
The quiet town of Bristol sits right on the Delaware. The town is filled with historic buildings many of which sit right along the Delaware. We'll walk through the historic part of town on the way to the canal path. We make a loop back to a hidden park, Maple Beech Park, which is right on the Delaware. It's not on the map because it's a private park owned by the nearby pharmaceutical company. We found it by accident years ago and have been coming back because of the great views along the Delaware. We'll walk along a levee right next to the water, then on a sandy beach if the water level is low for another .5 miles. Several times we've seen beavers in the waterways.
