Billion Berry Magic Forest Hike at Green Lane Reservoir Park

3.5-4 hours, 9-11 miles, beautiful hilly rollercoaster trails along the reservoir and the magic forest, not rocky, lots of shade

The Green Lane area is like no other because we hike on roller-coaster-like hills in a beautiful forest right along the water. Parts of the Magic Forest, I call it that, with it's dark barked trees close together looks like an area filmed in Game of Thrones or some other fantasy movie. The soil is reddish clay in color. Not rocky. Small single file trails. I love it. If you like hiking right along the water, you will love it especially in sunny weather with the water reflecting blue.

Interesting that the reservoir at Green Lane Park has an incredible 52 mile perimeter, but I have only been able to find one loop around on the water.

Carpooling
To carpool from Hill House (201 W Evergreen Ave, Phila) meet 1 hour before the event. Carpool time changes if hike time changes. Text me 215-2474459, 3-4 days in advance.
