You can meet for the 2 hour area walk and tour at 11am or just for the walk or just meet us for the tour at 1pm. Tour is 90 minutes. Note that you need to make a reservation for the tour. Cost $15/12, free for members of the Museum. Let me know if you are meeting us at 1pm.

Because of the hike is during lunch time we can end it 15 minutes early to have a little picnic outside the museum. Bring some munchies.

We'll take the Sacred Adornment tour at Glencairn Museum at 115pm. "This guided tour explores the religious significance of personal adornments in a variety of cultures, including those of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages." They have an incredible artifact collection.

Glencairn Castle, now an antiquities museum, is one of the most incredible places to visit in the Philadelphia area. No expense was spared when it was built in the 1920's and 30's. This is a world class structure. The museum makes The Cloisters in NYC look second rate.

Glencairn Castle is one of the 100 largest houses in the country. #73 on the Wikipedia list. It's the former home of Pitcairn family. In 1979 after the death of Margaret Pitcairn the castle became an antiquities museum.

Carpooling
To carpool from Hill House (201 W Evergreen Ave, Phila) meet 45 minutes before the event. Carpool time changes if hike time changes. Text me 215-2474459, 3-4 days in advance.
