7-10 miles (with lots of stops) High Line, Hudson Yards, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, maybe (Chinatown, Little Italy) Washington Park, NYU area. We go at a decent clip, but we stop many times. This is not an exercise hike.

The main reason I scheduled this hike for this time of year is the Highline. I've walked the Highline dozens of times, but it's always been ridiculously crowded in warmer weather. We walked it last month on the Xmas Hike when there were fewer folks there. Absolutely fantastic. Want to do it again. Might skip it on warmer weather hikes.

We meet at Hamilton Station of NJ Transit at 9 am to take the 924am train arriving 1048am at Penn Station NYC. (parking is around $10) If you board at Trenton, the first stop, or another stop, meet us in the back car of the train, upstairs if its a double decker. If you want to meet us in NYC, meet at the separate NJ Transit bathrooms at 1050 am. We stop for bite at Hudson Yards right after we arrive, then again for lunch somewhere where it is self-serve. There is a great Japanese Noodle house in NYU area and there are several Whole Foods around. We get in out out quickly. This plan could change, but we will NOT eat where we have waiter service because it takes too much time. We plan to catch the 452pm train back to Hamilton, arriving 510pm. Other trains back: 355,415,452,514
