2-3 hours, 4-6 miles,
Note: I have 10 parking tickets for 1030. Meet at Chanticleer at 1015. No need to go to the Radnor Trail Lot or Conestoga Lot: ·Radnor Trail, 520 Conestoga Rd.
I will stop there at 10am just in case anyone goes there before going to Chanticleer.

Chanticleer is my favorite garden/arboretum in the area. No other arboretum has such a great variety of fauna presented is such a natural way, not formal like Longwood or Winterthur. I walk through this area with my mouth wide open because I'm awed by what I see. Besides trails, there are several houses/structures with gardens, pools, fountains, hanging plants, furniture and sculptures.

From Google Reviews "Within 30 minutes of Philadelphia, Chanticleer is one of the great gardens of the region. Once the Rosengarten estate, today's Chanticleer is a colorful, contemporary garden within an historic setting. Come discover why London's Financial Times calls us "planted to perfection" and Garden Design magazine says we are "America's most inspiring garden."

Admission $8-$12 admission, a bargain special. A yearly pass is also available; advisable because we visit 4-5 times each year. Parking is free but you must reserve a spot. I often try to reserved spots for the first five people, then post tickets online under photos. Use my name or the name of the hiking group. (The parking regulations seem to change from month to month. )
