Glencairn Castle, now an antiquities museum, is one of the most incredible places to visit in the Philadelphia area. No expense was spared when it was built in the 1920's and 30's. This is a world class structure with beautiful gardens. The adjoining including Bryn Athyn Cathedral and College is also quite beautiful.
Glencairn Castle is one of the 100 largest houses in the country. #73 on the Wikipedia list. It's the former home of Pitcairn family. In 1979 after the death of Margaret Pitcairn the castle became an antiquities museum.
