Philadelphia Architecture Exploratory Hike

Details
Moved from Thursdays to Wednesdays to resolve conflicts with other hikes:
2.5-3.5 hours, 5-7 miles, brisk pace between stops, exploring neighborhoods in and around Center City Philadelphia for hidden architectural gems, possibility of lunch afterward if there's interest.
These weekly exploratory hikes are designed to complement the Architectural Style Hikes that run on Friday mornings. Compared to the Friday hikes, these hikes will be less formal. I will bring several pre-planned routes, all between about 5 and 7 miles, with each route covering a Philadelphia neighborhood or a set of interesting streets. The group will get to decide which route we will take, so it's choose your own adventure! While hiking the route, we will be on the lookout for beautiful buildings of all sizes and styles. I'll then incorporate the best ones into the Friday morning hikes. You can think of these hikes as being reconnaissance for the Friday hikes.
After a year or so, we are hoping to have covered virtually every street in the neighborhoods of Center City, Old City, Society Hill, Washington Square West, University City, Powelton Village, Rittenhouse, Fitler Square, Logan Square, Chinatown, Spring Garden, Callowhill, and probably others!
We will move quickly, only stopping briefly when we find a particularly interesting building. No knowledge of architecture is needed . . . just an interest in seeing beautiful places and a willingness to stay with the group.
