Beginner Camping Trip to MD / DE Beaches ($50/person to RSVP)

Please read the description in full to make sure you have the best experience.

Important Now

• Trip is first-come first-served. $50 secures your spot. Once you submit this I will move you from waitlist to "going." If your username isn't your first name and last initial or more, please include your meetup username when you submit payment so I make sure I have the right person.

• Cash at future event (note I won't mark you as going until this is in hand)
• You'll need your own sleeping setup - tent, hammock etc. including a sleeping back. October is usually mild but temps can get down to 40s/50s sometime at night so recommend having a sleeping bag. If you don't have gear - we have a gear swap coming up (7/27). FB Marketplace also has gear at a low cost.
• Location is on a large private farm in Frankford, DE. (5 mins to Trap Pond; 35 mins to Assateague and Ocean City; 45 mins to Rehoboth Beach). Exact location will be shared to those who are confirmed going in early October.

Important Later

• Toilet, hot showers, potable water are all onsite.

• Your camping fee covers:

• Campsite

• Firewood, fire-starting supplies, and smores

• Bug Spray, Sunscreen, first aid kit, hand sanitizer

• Use of shareable equipment (Large battery pack, outdoor speakers, mallet, dishwashing supplies)

• Disposable utensils/bowls/plates/cups, trash bags, paracord, duct tape, paper towels

• I will schedule a pre-planning meeting at some point for those who want to help plan the activities or who is a beginner who needs some help figuring out what to bring.

• Because of the anticipate # of people going, we will not be doing group meals BUT will do some group snacks so people can cook over the campfire.

• Assateague National Park has an entrance fee. This is not included in the $50; however hoping enough of us have National Park Passes to cover, if not just be aware that you may have an additional cost here.

• 🐶 Well behaved dogs are allowed
