https://madridurbanvibes.com/tour/chorrera-de-los-litueros-somosierra/Nos adentraremos en la Sierra Norte de Madrid, muy cerca del puerto de Somosierra, para descubrir uno de los rincones más espectaculares y fotogénicos de la zona: la Chorrera de los Litueros, considerada la cascada más alta de toda la Comunidad de Madrid.
El sendero transcurre entre praderas de montaña y bosques de roble y pino, mientras escuchamos el murmullo del agua que desciende por los barrancos. La recompensa será impresionante: un salto de agua de más de 30 metros que forma un paisaje único, perfecto para relajarse, tomar fotos y sentir la fuerza de la naturaleza.
🌊 ¿Sabías que la Chorrera de los Litueros está formada por la unión de varios arroyos de montaña, entre ellos el del Caño y el de las Pedrizas? Estos dan origen al río Duratón, que recorrerá tierras segovianas hasta desembocar en el Duero.

The trail runs through mountain meadows and oak and pine forests while we listen to the sound of the water flowing down the ravines. The reward will be impressive: a waterfall of more than 30 metres, creating a unique landscape that is perfect for relaxing, taking photos, and feeling the power of nature.
🌊 Did you know that Chorrera de los Litueros is formed by the meeting of several mountain streams, including Caño and Pedrizas? Together, they give rise to the Duratón River, which flows through Segovia before eventually reaching the Duero River.

La Pedriza es nuestro próximo destino de senderismo, una zona de gran interés geológico y paisajístico y una de las rutas más emblemáticas de Madrid por sus increíbles formaciones rocosas de granito. Seguiremos el camino creado por el río Manzanares y disfrutaremos del sonido del agua hasta el final del sendero con espectaculares vistas al Parque Natural de la Sierra de Guadarrama. Llegaremos a la famosa Charca Verde, que debe su nombre al efecto que produce el color de las rocas de su fondo junto con los reflejos en sus aguas, lo que le confiere su característico color verde esmeralda.
A mitad del recorrido realizaremos un picnic para descansar, comer y disfrutar de la zona y comenzar nuestro regreso.🧺

La Pedriza is our next hiking destination, an area of great geological and scenic interest and one of the most iconic hiking spots in Madrid thanks to its incredible granite rock formations.
We will follow the trail created by the Manzanares River and enjoy the sound of the water along the way, with spectacular views of the Sierra de Guadarrama Natural Park. We will eventually reach the famous **Charca Verde**, which gets its name from the effect created by the color of the rocks beneath the water combined with the reflections on
its surface, giving it its characteristic emerald-green color.Halfway through the route, we will stop for a picnic to rest, eat, enjoy the surroundings, and then begin our return. 🧺
