The Li River 100km hike is not just a trek; it’s a pilgrimage for nature lovers and cultural explorers. It’s where China’s most iconic karst landscape unfolds before you, step by step.
Key Highlights:
The Yangshuo Essence: Walk from Yangdi to Xingping, passing the actual viewpoint of the "Twenty Yuan Banknote" and the legendary Nine-Horse Fresco Hill.
Village Life: Traverse ancient towns, lush rice paddies, and quiet villages, sharing paths with local fishermen and water buffalo.
Multi-Modal Adventure: Combine hiking with sections of bamboo rafting or cycling for a varied pace and perspective.

D1- Feb 16th Monday
Meetup at Guilin anytime today!!
Today is CHINESE NEW YEAR EVE, according to everyone's arrival time, we will see if we gonna have a dinner together in Guilin;

🏨 Hotel: nearby starting point, we will share location before the trip

D2 Feb 17th Tuesday
Guilin - Daxu Old town (about 26km)
--> We will hike from the hotel, about 26km hiking to the Daxu Old town, hiking along li river, today is all flat

🏨 Hotel: Hotel at Daxu old town - 2ppl/room

D3 Feb 18th Wednesday
Daxu Old town - Yangdi Dock (About 28km)
Keep hiking along Li river, most also flat along the li river, but today need to hike up to a small hill which also have an awesome overviews of the li river
🏨 Hotel: nearby Yangdi Dock - 2ppl/room

D4- Feb 19th Thursday
Yangdi Dock - Xingping Old town (about 20km)
All hiking today are flat along li river with the best views of all mountains and rivers;

D5 Feb 20th Friday
Xingping Old town - Yangshuo West Street (about 28km)
Keep hiking along the li river, need to hike up to one small hill also, but mostly are flat trails along the li river;

Congrats that you have done the 100km challenge!!!!!

You can choose to go back to guilin and fly back to Shanghai or chill at yangshuo

D6 Feb 21 Saturday
Relaxing day in Yangshuo
--> after long hiking for past 4 days, today we will just chill in Yangshuo, visiting this town, enjoy coffee

If you choose to fly back to Shanghai, you can book your own flight;
suggested flights: 22:10 from guilin to shanghai, which has the best price for now; we will arrange transportation from yangshuo to guilin airport 6-7pm (if you need to go to airport at other time, we can help to arrange with your own cost)

* Payment: 2000RMB Deposit need to be paid ASAP to secure your spot , can be transferred via WeChat or Alipay or Cash or Bank; The balance will be collect 3-5 days before the trip

CANCELLATION

-> For cancellation up to 20 days before departure time, the full deposit will be refunded
-> For cancellation within 20 days of departure time, the deposit will be lost (possibility to transfer it to someone else if you find a person willing to replace you)
-> HikingLovers has the right to adjust the trip schedule based on weather and safety conditions

Considering that Outdoor hiking trips have some unexpected risks and environmental changes or other uncertainties, the organizer - HikingLovers will buy professional outdoor insurance for all the members before the trip and also will organize rescue for any emergency on site. All the participants have to follow the organization of the trip organizers/ trip leaders/coordinators/Local guide. Otherwise you should bear your own consequences caused by your own mistakes. We hereby declare that the trip organizers will not have any joint liability of the unpredictable accidents caused by Environment or any accidents caused by the participants’ mistake during the hiking trips.
