Xin'an River & Yangchan Tulou
Xin'an River，reputed as Gallery of Water and Mountains. The splendid landscapes of Xin'an River will certainly catch your eyes at first sight. The crystal clear water is always gently flowing, with Hui-style local houses standing on both sides.
Fields along Xin'an River bring you into a Utopian world. It's a world in golden especially in spring which is the most beautiful season of the year with rape bloom.
Strolling through the countryside is without doubt a wonderful choice for relaxation and an escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Yangchan Tulou is located in shendu town in the mountainous area of southern Anhui. Because of the high terrain and inconvenient transportation, for hundreds of years, local people have used local materials, such as surrounding bluestone to build roads and Bridges, and red soil wood to build nests and live. They work at sunrise and rest at sunrise, They drink from the mountain spring, they eat the grains, so that a variety of crops grow and descendants continue. The local style of residential houses form in a randomly strewn way in years.
The protection of Yangchan Tulou is of profound historical and cultural significance to the current study of ancient Chinese architecture.

Exit 6 Line 1/4 Shanghai INDOOR Stadium Metro station

Transportation:
Private Bus - 340km, need about 5hrs driving
* You can also choose to take train to Jixi county, last train is 17:30 from south Shanghai station if you can catch it, only take 2.5hrs to get there and then 1 hour taxi to guesthouse

Difficulty:
Team 1: Easy - Chill & Enjoy Spring, 10-12km
Team 2: if you are thinking of joining Guilin 100km, we are thinking to do a training, hiking along the Xin'an River, do a 25-30km hiking training
* if only small group, we will just do team 1 and chill

Accommodation:
Local guesthouse: 2 ppl/room

Itinerary
D1-MAR 13TH FRIDAY NIGHT
Meetup at Exit 6, Line 1/4 Shanghai INDOOR Stadium Metro Station
-> Departure time: 19:00 [Please be there 5-10 mins earlier, Thanks]
-> Travel Time: About 340km away, about 5hours driving depending on the traffic;
We will be arrival around midnight depends on the traffic. Once arrived, Sleep well;

🥗 Meals: NO MEAL, bring your own dinner for bus ride if needed
🛌 Accommodation: local guesthouse - 2ppl/room

D2-MAR 14th SATURDAY
-> After so long in Shanghai, enjoy the first fresh morning breath in the village. Then enjoy the morning and breakfast.
-> After breakfast, we will start the hiking the guesthouse, Shitan village and hike to Changxi village, for chill team can finish here and chill/enjoy the nature; for challenge team, we can keep hiking along the Xin'an river;
Enjoy the hiking and beautiful nature. Find a nice place for lunch picnic. Just need to go back to the guesthouse before dark.
[Note: during the areas, have some tourist places or boat you can take might cost ticket which will be at your own cost; BUT you dont have to go inside during the trail]

19:00 Dinner and Enjoy the nice local food. After dinner, enjoy the bonfire or games/drinks with old/new friends.

🛌 Accommodation: 2 people/room

D3-MAR 15th SUNDAY
-> Today we will go to visit Yangchan Tulou which is a small village of tulou - house made of clay. Yangchan Tulou village are surround by amazing mountains.

-> After breakfast, about 30mins driving to Yangchan Tulou; About 40mins hiking to the village (you can also take shuttle bus on your own cost)
Visiting tulou and photographying, also can find some restaurant to sit for some drinks;
13:00 We will have lunch in the guesthouse ;
14:00 Head back to Shanghai and hope you enjoy the places and the trip.
19:00 Arrival at Shanghai and say good to old/new friends and see you in next trip.

CANCELLATION
-> For cancellation up to 3 days before departure time, the full deposit will be refunded
-> For cancellation within 3 days of departure time, the deposit will be lost (possibility to transfer it to someone else if you find a person willing to replace you)
-> HikingLovers has the right to adjust the trip schedule based on weather and safety conditions
