Suzhou West Mountain - Spring Azalea Trail
Spring is the perfect time to explore the wild beauty of Suzhou's West Mountain (Xishan), the largest island in Lake Tai. As the island sheds its winter chill, the hillsides erupt in a vibrant display of azaleas (Rhododendron simsii), known locally as Yingshanhong(映山红), which literally means "the mountain blushes red." This guide focuses on the best loop trail to experience these spring blossoms while enjoying panoramic views of Lake Tai.
This trip we will do a big loop of Piaomiao Peak, about 12km with 400m elevations;

-> Departure time: 08:00 [Please be there 5-10 mins earlier, Thanks]
-> Travel Time: About 130km away, about 1.5-2 hours driving depending on the traffic;
10:00 arrived and let's go hiking
12:00 we will fina a nice spot for picnic lunch
12:30 Let's keep hiking,
15:30-16:00 finish hiking
16:00 Head back to Shanghai and will arrival at Shanghai around 6-7pm depends on the traffic;
🥗 Meals: bring your own picnic lunch

-> For cancellation up to 3 days before departure time, the full deposit will be refunded
-> For cancellation within 3 days of departure time, the deposit will be lost (possibility to transfer it to someone else if you find a person willing to replace you)
