Enjoy this 2.3-mile loop trail near Niskayuna, New York. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 58 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, cross-country skiing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
The trail consists of Grattan Family Trail (red), Frank's Trail (yellow), and Paul's Trail (blue). The Lisha Kill Preserve, owned by the Nature.
Typically in March, the area may still experience muddy conditions, with changing leaves and occasional muddy spots. The trail offers nice views, with some parts being up and down with potential for mud. Conservancy, is a rare example of an old-growth forest in a developed area. Some of the trees (Eastern white pine and Eastern hemlock) are estimated to be well over 200 years old.
