Crane Mountain

Crane Mountain is a 3.1 mile loop that features a cave, pond and views from the rocky summit. We will be doing the loop in reverse. We will hike up the east side of the mountain to the pond. There is a cave that crosses under the trail prior to this ascent. Anyone wishing to go in the cave should bring a head lamp. There are a several viewpoints from the eastern side of the mountain. From the pond we will hike to the summit. The hike from the pond to the summit is steep.

This hike can be challenging so you should be active and doing regular exercise. This hike has several steep ascents and a steep ladder on the descent. The descent is rugged. Dress for the weather and bring plenty of fluids. Bad weather will cancel/reschedule this hike.
