Paddleboarding at Fish Creek

Calling all Stand Up Paddleboarder’s and would be boarders. Let try a new event, paddleboarding on Fish Creek. Let’s give our legs a rest for a change and get the upper body working. We will meet at the Kayak Shack at 251 Stafford Bridge Rd, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, 518 5879788. If you have an SUP you can park and it’s $10 to launch. If you need to rent a SUP, then it is $25 for 3 hours. Here is the link to the web site. https://www.kayakshak.com, under FAQ is a link to reserve an SUP online. We will try to stay as a group but may build multiple groups depending on ability.
We meet about 3:30pm and be in the water by 4pm as they close 7pm. I have been paddleboard for about 4 years, so I can certainly teach the basics. I am going to put a limit of 12 only because they have a limit number of rentals, reserving on online is best.

Depending on interest I may plan another SUP (standup paddleboard) events later. I would like to paddle the Kayaderosseras Creek in the near future.

If you rent from there you will be provided a PFD (personal floatation device) please wear it. If you have your own SUP please bring and wear your PFD. I would encourage you to bring a water bottle that can be latched on to your SUP. A whistle is high encouraged. If you have never used a paddleboard, you will fall and you will get wet. If you cannot swim or do think you can pull yourself up out of the water this is not your event. Fish creek is deep enough that you can not stand in the water with you head above the water in the middle of the creek. Let’s play it safe and have fun.
