BromleyMt has a summit elevation of 3,248'. We will hike the Appalachian Trail from Route 11 - the trail is 6 miles round-trip out and back with 1420’ elevation gain.This is a challenging hike and not for beginners. There are nice views from the summit 40’ observation deck and shelter, where we can have lunch. Views of Killington, Okemo, Equinox and Stratton mountains from the summit. You must be doing regular aerobic exercise to participate. Dress for the weather in non cotton clothes and wear sturdy hiking boots. Bring lunch, hydration/electrolytes, snacks, other appropriate gear for the conditions. Will determine if any winter gear will be required prior to the event .No dogs please. Foul weather postpones the hike. We will meet at Walmart 760 Hoosick Rd 730am to carpool -bear right as you enter the lot and park up near TrustCo Bank and Park and Ride. We can stop for food in Manchester after the hike for those interested. By attending this event, you agree that you alone are responsible for yourself and are hiking at your own risk.
