Lake Placid Loppet Cross Country Ski Event

The LAKE PLACID LOPPET is a celebration of cross-country skiing for all ages and abilities so come along and join the fun. We'll meet at the Mt. Van Hovenberg Lodge and spend the day at this world class athletic venue.
When: Sunday, January 25, 2026
Where: Mt Van Hovenberg, Lake Placid
Time: 9:30 - 10:00 - Check-in, Pick-Up Race Bibs, Meet group on 2nd Floor of the Van Ho Lodge
11:00 - All races
12:00 - Lunch Begins
6:00-7:00 pm - Meet in the the Crowne Plaza Bar Area; Dinner Plans TBD
What: You must register to participate in the Loppet. Choose between 1, 2 or 3 loops on a 8km course. When not skiing, enjoy the many amenities and comradery at the Mount Van Hovenberg Lodge.

For anyone interested in extending your adventure,
join us for a recreational ski at Paul Smith’s VIC Center the next day.
Stay overnight after the Loppet on Sunday at the beautiful Crowne Plaza in Lake Placid. On Monday, January 26 we'll drive up to the VIC Center (23 miles away) for some of the most scenic skiing in the Northeast.

*1/26 - Meet in the Crowne Plaza lobby at 8:30 am to carpool to Paul Smith's VIC Center. You can buy breakfast at the hotel restaurant; we'll meet at 7:30 am for those interested.

**CASTA will arrange meetup places and times.
**Individuals will register for the Loppet, arrange carpooling, make hotel reservations on their own.
