*4W drive or snow tires required*Switzkill Farm Beginner Hike - Berne

Ok for beginners if you are fit to walk 3 to 4 miles over rolling ,uneven terrain. This is NOT a level walk in the park.

.Meet at Switzkill Farm 165 Game Farm Rd ( steep gravel road) Berne at 1030am ,hike starts at 10:45 AM. Park at the crest of the hill by the row of barns and just before two pieces of yellow heavy equipment . Please park as close as possible to the edge of the road where they have plowed so that there would be room for emergency vehicles to get by.
3-4 miles scenic walk thru woods and fields with views of northern Catskills. Wear non cotton layers, hiking boots and bring microspikes, maybe snow shoes,water, snacks .Lunch after at nearby Babbling Brook and Watering Hole for those interested. By attending the event, you agree that you alone are fully responsible for yourself and are participating at your own risk.
