Meet at elm parking at 7am or trailhead, hike will start at 8:30am. Overlook Mountain is a moderate 4.6-mile hike with great views from a fire tower and the ruins to explore, just out side Woodstock NY. The elevation gain is 1,400 feet. Balsam lake mtn is a 6 mile hike, 1200’ elevation gain with great views.
Not a beginner hike! The trails are steep and sometimes rough. Please please bring hydration, snacks, snowshoes & micro spikes and be dressed for the weather. If snow has fallen before the hike snowshoes may be required.
Please have food water and money for driver, if you plan to carpool. (I suggest arranging carpooling in comments )
