Head out on this 3-mile loop trail near Altamont, New York. Generally considered an easy route, it takes about an hour or so to complete. This trail is great for birding, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Both level and rolling topography. Although this is a short hike you should be doing regular aerobic exercise to participate. Dress for weather in non cotton layers and wear hiking boots. Bring tick repellant /bugspray, head lamp (or other light), water, snacks. Please check yourself for ticks after the hike.
