If you bring a guest, make sure your guest understands the hike and is able to complete it (you too).
We will hike about 3.5 to 4.5 miles, at the north section of Thacher Park from Carrick Road off Old Stage Road, to see Hang Glider's Cliff (3.5 miles). If people want, we can add High Point, another mile. Hike should last about 2.5 hours, on level and rolling topography. You should be able to walk on uneven ground to participate. Dress for the weather, and wear hiking footwear. Expect a bit of poison ivy to avoid. Bring bug spray, a headlamp or other light, water, and maybe snacks. Check for ticks after the hike! Dogs are allowed on a leash. Meet at the Carrick Road Trailhead, East Berne, NY 12059 Parking lot. Hike starts on time, unless you text or message us ahead of time - Mimi's cell is 518-231-7319
We will cancel for bad weather.
