Alander Mountain Trail is a 5.8 miles Out and back hike with 1200’ change in elevation near Sheffield, Massachusetts. summit elevation 2231’
Dress for winter weather in non cotton layers with sturdy hiking boots.Bring snowshoes, micro spikes,water/ electrolytes/snacks/lunch.No dogs please. Inclement weather postpones the outing. Meet Defreestville park-and-ride 830 am to carpool. We will pitstop at Stewart’s in Hillsdale on the way to the trailhead. We can stop at Four Bros Pizza or Chief Martindale Diner on the way home for those interested. If you plan to stop To eat you will not need to bring a big lunch.
