Details
Join us for this guided walk on paved trails through Colonel Danforth Park along Highland Creek from Old Kingston Road in Scarborough to Lake Ontario and then along the bluffs and shore of Lake Ontario to East Point Park. We will enjoy stunning views of the lake and the beaches from the trails along the small river and the Bluffs. We will go at a moderate pace and take small breaks about once an hour.
Length: 11 Km [Add 1 km if walking from TTC bus stop at OLD Kingston Road.]
EVENT CATEGORY: Urban Walk, Scenic
DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Beginner – All walking/hiking levels welcome!
TOTAL HIKING TIME: 4-5 hours hiking including lunch and stops, depending on overall group pace.
WHAT TO BRING: Water (at least 1 L), LUNCH, snacks, appropriate clothing and footwear, hat, camera, cellphone, cash for personal expenses, enthusiasm.
Event conditional on weather. In the event of harsh weather, this walk will be cancelled or rescheduled.
- TIMELINE
Travel to the Highland Creek parking lot by car or public transit and meet our group there NO LATER than 10:45 AM. The hike will start promptly at 11:00 AM
Note: If using public transit, you will have to walk about 500 m. to the parking lot.

We will not wait for anyone after 11:00 AM. It is not okay to join the event or call the Organizer after the event starts at 11:00 AM.
