HIKINGOC ANNUAL WEEKEND TRIP to CA deserts-Springtime, wildflowers time and caves/slot canyons of Anza Borrego and Mecca-Painted/Ladders Canyons.

Schedule: Saturday May 20 to Sunday May 21, 2023. Indicate when sign up if you only like to attend 1 day Sat or Sun.

PLEASE READ: We are gearing this trip toward experienced hikers who don't mind being flexible hiking schedule.

***We'll help to arrange lodging/carpooling if need to. Please see below for estimate cost and deposit details.

***Transportation: The drive is at least 3 hours one way from Orange County.

ADVANCE DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION:

***Plan your own lodging/transportation and only join us to hike, $50 (non-refundable coordinating fee). Contact the host directly for more info.

***Estimate Trip Cost including: lodging, transportation, coordinating fee, but excluding meals. $250+ (double occupancy, $300+ if single occupancy)

1. Advance Deposit $200 due by May 5 (Add 10% to deposit amount if send after due date). It is non-refundable deposit.
2. The following policies apply when making a cancellation:
   ***After putting down deposit, it is non-refundable
   ***10 days prior to the trip: 100% of the total estimate trip amount is subject to forfeiture
   Estimate Trip Cost: due 10 days before the trip.

Day 1: Saturday-Anza Borrego: Slot Canyon, Mud Caves, Calcite Mines, Maidenhair Falls/Borrego Canyon, etc.

GOOD TO KNOW: Here are things you need to bring with:

1. Sunscreen (hot during the day with the sun)
2. Layer clothes as it is still cold in the early morning
3. Hiking shoes, poles, hat, etc.

***To buy Hiking Gears: check out with Sports stores, REI for quality gears: shoes, clothes and camping gears or short term use gears at Target or Wal-Mart with decent price. You can see them online before going to the stores to check out.
