Early Springtime on the green rolling hills! An opportunity for a great workout on these scenic hills at Chino hills state park

DISTANCE & ELEVATION GAIN: about 6 to 8+ miles with 1000 to 1500+ ft gain; completed in about 3 hours.

GENERAL RATING/DIFFICULTY: Levels 2 to 3 (Moderate) for distance, elevation and pace. Click RATING TABLE to learn more about hike levels https://tinyurl.com/HikeRating

ROUTE: We will taking South Ridge East to Easy Street crossing over to Telegraph, up to Sycamore to cut over to South Ridge on to San Juan Peak. Then head back to Quarter Horse on South Ridge. (If we have a group or few groups that are up for longer and more challenges, we will head to Gilman peak to Four Corner, etc)

BRING: Adequate water (2 to 3 liters), hat, sunscreen, snack, layered clothing to adjust to climate change. Trekking Poles are not needed, but entirely optional for this hike.

DESCRIPTION: Chino Hills State Park is unique in that it provides refuge for both biodiversity and solitude to the visitors who enjoy their outdoor experiences. There is no other location in the LA Basin were people can drive a short distance and be swept away with scenic vistas, hike, bike or ride a horse on over 65 miles of trails. At 14,102 acres the park is managed as an open space habitat where all plant and animal life are protected.

FACILITIES: Facilities are located at the trailhead.

DIRECTIONS, PARKING & FEES: Quarter Horse Parking with restrooms. Meet nearby the entrance to the parking lot.

DOGS: Sorry, dogs are not permitted on the trails.
