Duck Pass Trail is a must do for those wanting to spend a day out in the wilderness, with some of the most stunning beauty you can find in the mountains.

### Why Hike Duck Pass

This hike visits several lakes and then climbs a 10,800-ft. pass on the Pacific Crest. The climb to the pass is quite scenic, with views of the lakes basin and rugged peaks lining the valley. Just beyond the pass is an overlook, with panoramic views of Duck Lake cradled in a cirque of 11,000-ft peaks and ridges. To the southwest, Silver Peak and the Silver Divide fill the skyline.
We will pass Emerald lake, Arrowhead lake, Skelton lake, Red lake, Barney lake, and finally the gorgeous Duck lake.

Distance - 8 miles
Elevation Gain - 1800 ft
9100 feet to 10,800 feet

If you can’t finish the entire trail, go as far as you’d like and you can still enjoy a great panoramic view of the Various lakes.
