Aliso Summit Peak to Coast Royale Beach (Level 2)

Details
This is a great morning hike since it’s so close to the ocean. It’s really fun as we have beautiful views, ocean breezes, great trails, lots of stairs, and a little time on a wonderful beach.
We will start the hike at the Aliso Peak Trail next to the Seaview Park for 1.5 mile to reach the Aliso Peak. After a break to enjoy the view, we will retrace the trail for 1/4 mile and take the Toovet Trail down to Alta Loma Drive, Holly Drive, Ocean View Street, Monterey Street, West Street and cross the PCH to the Coast Royale Beach. We will walk along the beach to go to a public restroom next to the Lost Pier Cafe in the Aliso Beach.
On the return trip, we will cross PCH to West Street and start the stairs up the Valido Trail. This part is rather steep with about 300 stair steps going back to the Aliso Peak Trail then back to the Seaview Park.
There is very little shade on the trail. Please bring a hat and sunscreen and at least 2L of water.
