## Hike Briefing at 8:55 AM.
## The hike departs promptly at 9:00 AM.
## If you arrive late or otherwise choose to do this walk on your own, just follow the directions detailed below. And bring a friend!

Length: 6+ miles.
Difficulty: This walk is flat, mostly on a paved multi-use lane.
Pace: Relaxed (22 - 25 minutes/mile); faster or slower according to your abilities. The group may "spread out" a bit, so feel free to bring a friend who can match your pace.

Description: From Vista Point we will head west on The Mountains to the Sea Trail & Bikeway. This is a paved shared-use road/bikeway. We will walk down to the Newport Dunes RV Resort/Campground. After a brief restroom stop, we will head back to Vista Point the way we came.

See the Photos section for a detailed route map.

Rating: Level 2 - Click here for hike RATING TABLE

Parking: There is plenty of free on-street parking all along East Bluff Drive between Vista Point and Jamboree Road. At the intersection of Eastbluff Drive and Back Bay Drive. Click Here

Facilities: There are no restrooms at Vista Point. There are nice restrooms at our mid-hike turnaround point, the Newport Dunes RV park.

What to bring: Water and snacks, sunglasses, comfortable walking/hiking shoes, maybe a hat or umbrella for sun protection, a happy attitude and a big smile!

Sometimes we may see some wildlife: quail, hawks, roadrunners, bunny wabbits, and if we are very lucky, maybe a snake or a tarantula.
