Laurel Canyon and Lizard Trail Loop - Crystal Cove (Level 2-, 2+)

There are two options for this hike
1. Long loop going to Willow Canyon Staging area (Level 2+)
2. Short loop bypassing Willow Canyon Staging area (Level 2-)

For long loop - Start from the Crystal Cove Park entrance, go down Bommer Ridge trail, Bommer Spur Trail, Willow Canyon trail and arrive at the Willow Canyon Staging Area off the 133 Hwy. We will take a restroom and snack break here. Then we will take Laurel Canyon Trail, Lizard Trail, back to Bommer Ridge Trail then to the Crystal Cove Park entrance.

Distance: About 8.5 miles (level 2+)
Elevation: About 1250 ft

For short loop, start from the Crystal Cove Park entrance, go down Bommer Ridge trail, Bommer Spur Trail, Laurel Spur Road, Lizard Trail, back to Boomer Ridge Trails to the Crystal Cove Park entrance.

Distance: 5 miles (level 2-)
Elevation: About 650 ft

PLEASE BRING:
At least 2 liters of water, a hat, sunscreen. There is not too much shade in the trails.

FACILITIES: Rest rooms in Coastal Peak Park and Willow Canyon Staging Area

After the hike, you are welcomed to join us for brunch at the Mustard Cafe, 21137 Newport Coast Dr, Newport Coast
