The park closes at sunset so make sure you leave enough juice in the tank to get back in the same amount of time.

Today’s route is:

Sunset is at 7:05pm. We will have just 1 1/2 hours of daylight to work with. Today’s route is an out and back.

  • Pacific Ridge Trailhead to West Fork Trail
  • West Fork Trail to Bommer Pass(Right)
  • Bommer Pass to Nature Loop(Straight across Road)
  • Nature Loop to Bommer Meadow(Left)
  • Bommer Meadow to Bommer Canyon Trailhead. This is the turnaround point.
  • Follow the same route back to Pacific Ridge Trailhead.

Approximately: 5.5 miles
E.G.: 900'

As this is an out and back let your pace be your guidance when to turn around. My rule of thumb would be 40 minutes. There is a restroom at the Bommer Canyon Trailhead, which is the half way point.
