This trail is incredibly beautiful this time of the year, when the leaves are turning gold and the weather is colder.

We will start our hike from Icehouse Canyon Trail Head. We will hike the Icehouse Canyon Trail all the way to the Icehouse Saddle.

After a well-deserved rest at the Saddle we have the option of going to the Bighorn Peak for an extra one-mile roundtrip hike.

For the return loop we will use the Icehouse Canyon Trail all the way back to the parking lot

Distance - 7.5 miles
Elevation - 2700 ft

Bring extra water, sunscreen, hat. Hiking poles are helpful. Insect head covering can be handy as there may be insects flying around.

For parking, this hike requires an Adventure Pass. A National Park pass or Senior pass can also be accepted. You can purchase a day pass for $5 or an annual pass for $30.

General Rating: Level 3 Strenuous due to elevation gain and high altitude. Download RATING TABLE (http://files.meetup.com/1554500/RATING%20TABLE.pdf) to read more about difficulty levels.
