Lake Cachuma Sweetwater Trail (Level 1+)

Set amidst acres of wilderness flanked by the picturesque Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountains, lies glimmering Cachuma Lake. This route will take you along the edge of this lake, offering great lakeside views along the entire way. Start the hike at the Bradbury Dam Overlook, take the Sweetwater trail to the end and come back the same way.

From Solvang or Buellton, take Hwy 246 East for 8 miles, merge into Hwy 154E for 5 miles, turn left and drive 0.5 mile to Cachuma Lake Vista Point parking lot.
