Join us for a scenic 8-mile loop trail through Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park., CA. The trail typically takes about 3.hours to complete.
Location: Canyon View Park, Aliso Viejo, California.
· Meeting Place: Canyon View Staging Area
· Meeting Time: 7 AM (Expect the hike to last approximately 3.hours).
· General Rating/Difficulty: Level 2+/3 (Moderate Pace for distance, elevation, and pace.
· Distance/Elevation/Duration: Level 2+/3 Estimate: 8 miles, 1079+- ft gain, and 3 hours (moderate pace).
· Parking: Street
Essentials:
· Comfortable hiking shoes

· Snacks/energy bars
· Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)

Route Details:

  1. We'll start at Canyon View Staging Area.
  2. From there we'll follow the Wood Canyon Trail towards Rockit.
  3. We'll go up Rockit to West Ridge Trail.
  4. We'll return via the West Ridge Trail and come down Lynz to the Wood Canyon Trail.
  5. We'll complete the loop via Wood Canyon Trail back to Canyon View Staging Area.

NOTE: We will hike with another group who will go on Top of the World and possibly continue farther on Canyon Acres before turning back, bringing the total distance closer to 10 miles.. This will add another elevation and about an hour to the hike. You are more than welcome to leave this group and join them.
Punctuality & RSVP Etiquette:
We kindly request that all participants aim to be punctual. Our group will wait for a grace period of 5 minutes past the scheduled start time for any latecomers. However, if you realize that you're running late, please inform us through the message board. This will help us know to wait a bit longer for you and ensure we don't leave anyone behind.
If your plans change and you're unable to attend after RSVPing, please cancel your RSVP before the event begins. This consideration allows us to manage the group size effectively and opens up space for others who might be on a waiting list.
